Control
The control commands configure and run the RFID radio and the barcode scanner, and decide what each data endpoint reports. They are conventionally sent to a CTRL endpoint's command topic, for example <tenantId>/CTRL/clients/cmnd/<deviceSerialNumber>. Commands and replies travel at QoS 1 and are not retained.

set_operating_mode and control_operation START are refused with code 11 while an inventory runs. The operating mode is lost on reboot. Before you start an inventory, confirm the reader’s regulatory region with get_current_region: the reader does not transmit until it is set.
